Everton coach Frank Lampard confirmed the return to a call for Yerry Mina, who finally recovered from a muscle injury that left him off the courts for about two months.

During a press conference, the former Chelsea coach stressed the importance of having the former Independiente Santa Fe again, whom he considers a key piece in the Liverpool club’s scheme.

In addition, the former player of the England national team stressed that they are not going to force the Colombian defender, since he has not played for a long time and they do not want him to relapse to the injury that has been afflicting him in recent months.

Yerry Mina’s last match for Everton was on February 8 when the Toffes fell 3-1 away to Newcastle for the 24th Premier League date. On that occasion, the one born in Guachené, Cauca, had to be replaced 35 minutes into the match

In the current season, the defender of the Colombian national team has played a total of 11 matches with his team, of which in eight he has been the initialist.

Due to his inconvenience, the Colombian player also missed the Tricolor knockout commitments against Bolivia and Venezuela.

The current Everton campaign is to be forgotten, as those led by Frank Lampard occupy 17th place with 28 points and minus 19 in the goal difference. They are even three units away from relegation positions in the English league.

Everton’s next match will be against Leicester City at Goodison Park this Wednesday from 1:45 p.m. with a broadcast of Start+. It should be noted that this match corresponds to matchday 18 of the Premier League.

Subsequently, there will be a clash of Colombians for the 34th date of the Premier League when Yerry Mina’s Everton visits Luis Díaz’s Liverpool on Anfield Road next Sunday, April 24.

In addition to Liverpool, Everton have six finals left to save the category where they will face heavy-caliber rivals with whom they have little margin for error.
