(Update with new data)
Miami, 17 Mar Two people died and two others had to be hospitalized after a shooting that occurred this Thursday inside a public transport bus that was transiting the city of Fort Laudardale, in Florida (USA), authorities reported.
Police in the city north of Miami confirmed on social media that the “alleged shooter is already in custody” and that “one of the victims died at the scene of the shooting and the other at the hospital” to which she was rushed.
In addition, as a result of the shooting, a “car accident” took place that left three other injured people who were treated by health personnel at the scene and forced the area to be closed to traffic.
The injured were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center and at least two of them were serious, the Fire Department said.
Police indicated that the bus driver was unharmed in the shooting, the causes of which are still unknown.
Investigators said four people received gunshot wounds as the bus was heading west on Broward Boulevard.
The bus driver managed to guide the vehicle to a nearby police station, but when he maneuvered to enter the parking lot, he caused the collision with other vehicles.
The suspect turned himself in to the officers in the same parking lot. CHIEF
