With that effervescent atmosphere, it is that the white-red has received a series of messages of support. One of them was the Ministry of Defense, which dedicated an emotional video to those directed by Ricardo Gareca a a few hours after the meeting.

“We have sacred duties to fulfill… And we always fulfill them. But when Peru plays, we all play!” , can be read in the video. Then there are troops from the different weapons such as the Army, the Air Force and the Navy. They are passing a ball in different scenarios. The video ends with the hashtag #EstamosEnLaCancha.

The match has final touches and will have the watchful eye of the entire continent, as Uruguay and Peru arrive as direct rivals to the final stretch of the South American qualifiers.
