B Mönchengladbach defeat Bayern Munich 2-1 on Friday at the Allianz Arena. Bayern were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two matches in the league. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Florian Neuhaus producing an equaliser, 27 minutes in, bringing Gladbach level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Stefan Lainer, at 31 minutes and the first half ended 1-2. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
